Five dollars, the whole Early Launch

WavRead is in Early Launch. It works, it is improving quickly, and five dollars buys it — including every build that follows while the Early Launch runs. There is no free version and no trial. When WavRead reaches its final 1.0 release the price becomes $49; if your reports helped get it there, you keep it for the five dollars you already paid.

Every Early Launch build

Five dollars, once. Each new build appears on your dashboard with its SHA-256 to verify against, at no further cost, for as long as the Early Launch lasts.

Report, and keep it at $49

The final 1.0 release costs $49. Send reports that actually help — a bug worth fixing, a case nobody thought of — and it stays yours for the five dollars you already paid. Judged by a person reading them, not counted, because twenty empty reports are not worth one good one.

An account that lasts

Ownership is recorded against a durable WavRead account keyed to your email, not to a browser session. Sign-in is a one-time email link; there is no password.

On the record as early

Every purchase is dated and kept. When 1.0 pricing is decided, the people who paid five dollars at a time during Early Launch are the first question, not an afterthought.

What five dollars is not

It is not a subscription: nothing renews, and nothing charges you again on its own. It is also not a licence for the final 1.0 release, which is a separate $49 purchase when it arrives — unless your reports earned it. What five dollars covers is the Early Launch: this build and every build after it while the Early Launch runs.

What it does buy is a build macOS trusts: WavRead is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple. The first time you open it you get the ordinary "downloaded from the Internet — are you sure?" confirmation, which says in as many words that Apple checked it for malicious software and none was detected. Click Open and it never asks again. What you will not see is the refusal unsigned apps get, where there is no Open button at all.

WavRead is Early Launch software sold as exactly that: it measures carefully and says when it is estimating, it is still moving fast, and the honest reason the price is five dollars rather than fifty is that you are buying it early, one build at a time.

Buy WavRead

Enter the email your account should live under. The current build appears on your dashboard the moment the payment confirms, and so does every build after it. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted checkout — the card never touches WavRead — and your account and sign-in are created from the same email.

Used for sign-in links, purchase receipts, and nothing else.

The terms, in plain words

Price $5.00, once, for the whole Early Launch. Charged by Stripe at checkout; WavRead never sees or stores card details. Nothing recurring, nothing automatic.
What is stored Your email, the amount, the date, and Stripe's checkout reference — the record that makes the purchase yours. See Privacy for the complete accounting.
Later builds Included. Every build published during the Early Launch appears on your dashboard at no further cost.
The 1.0 release $49, as a separate purchase when it arrives — with no promised date. Testers whose reports helped keep it for the $5 already paid, and the dashboard says which you are.
Refunds Ask within 14 days — email support@wavread.com from your account address, or use the dashboard's feedback form — and the purchase is refunded; a refund ends access to the builds and nothing else.
The desktop app Stays account-free. Buying changes what your dashboard offers, not what the app sends — which remains nothing, unless you turn problem reports on.

Already bought it? Sign in with your purchase email to reach your dashboard. Anything else — a question before buying, a problem after — reaches a person at support@wavread.com.
